About Camp Towhee
Operated by Child Development Institute (CDI)
For over 50 years, Camp Towhee has filled a critical gap by offering a life-changing overnight camp experience for children and youth with learning disabilities and mental health challenges.
Located in Haliburton, Ontario, Towhee provides campers with an immersive experience where they can learn to express themselves, regulate their emotions, and experience success through adventure-based learning programs including sporting activities, music, art, and more. In addition to a lifetime of wonderful memories, the skills and friendship developed ensure a brighter future for all these campers.

Is my donation secure?
Yes — all donations made to CDI are secure, and we respect the privacy of all donors by keeping your personal information confidential.

Will I receive a tax receipt for my donation?
Based on donor eligibility, tax receipts will be issued for donations over $20.
For all online donations, you will receive a confirmation email with your linked eTax Receipt (click ‘eReceipt’ to download).
For monthly donations, consolidated receipts will be issued in January.
