If your youth is determined eligible for our program based on their diagnosed learning disability and mental health need, the Camp Towhee Director will follow-up with you in regards to placing your youth at camp and completing a secondary assessment. We are excited to welcome both returning and new campers this season!<\/p>\n<p>In order to be eligible for Camp Towhee, youth must meet <a href=\"https:\/\/can01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fchilddevelop.ca%2Ftowhee%2Fparents%2Fparticipant-eligibility%2F&amp;data=05%7C02%7CNNg%40childdevelop.ca%7Cd2edb7c998994040088108de7ac354f0%7C6683aa0e026042ae845fac00c6df7226%7C0%7C0%7C639083176520593695%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=zlf6VTgUYaFxpHC1y2awyvbParPqez%2F7cxNmDuUYMII%3D&amp;reserved=0\">our criteria<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong> All potential participants will meet with the director of designate prior to the summer to determine if Camp Towhee is the right fit.<\/p>\n<h4>Towhee Fees<\/h4>\n<p>Although we receive government funding to operate, the cost of running Camp Towhee as a high-quality program for youth with Learning Disabilities and other mental health challenges exceeds our funding.<\/p>\n<p><em>The two-week session fee for 2026 is $3200.<\/em>\u00a0Fees cover transportation, laundry services, meals and snacks, activities and special events.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Invoices:<\/strong>\u00a0Issued in April, Due 14 days after invoice issue date<\/li>\n<li><strong>Installments are Available for the following schedule:\u00a0<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>$1200: Sent Apr 17, Due May 1<\/li>\n<li>$1000: Sent May 1, Due May 15<\/li>\n<li>$1000: Sent May 15, Due May 29<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Any outstanding CDI fees must be paid to enroll in Camp Towhee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Receipts:\u00a0<\/strong>The therapeutic program will be facilitated by trained program staff with clinical oversight.
