text_size=&#8221;&#8221;]Why Us[\/vc_custom_heading][vc_single_image media=&#8221;147&#8243; media_width_percent=&#8221;100&#8243; el_class=&#8221;box_icon&#8221;][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;box_text&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2>Towhee accommodates children and youth with LDMH<\/h2>\n<p>Towhee adapts the therapeutic interventions of Child Development Institute\u2019s LDMH Services in a safe, supportive and restorative environment, offering multiple opportunities for children and youth with learning disabilities and mental health issues (LDMH) to find success.<\/p>\n<p>Most of our participants have complex profiles and are not able to attend traditional summer camp programs for the following reasons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>They experience mental health issues such as anxiety or depression;<\/li>\n<li>Their learning disability impacts their social competence and\/or executive functioning, and these issues may be compounded by ADHD or Autism Spectrum Disorder; and<\/li>\n<li>They require highly-individualized, specialized supports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column column_width_percent=&#8221;100&#8243; position_vertical=&#8221;middle&#8221;
