Friendships made at camp are friendships that last a lifetime!<\/p>\n<h4>Sleeping<\/h4>\n<p>Each Towhee participant will have their own bed in the cabin, and there are no bunk beds. The cabins are very roomy, and you will have a shelf area to store your personal items.<\/p>\n<h4>Eating<\/h4>\n<p>Throughout your time at Towhee, your meals will be served \u201cfamily style\u201d in the dining hall. You\u2019ll sit with your cabin group at each meal, and will share the responsibility for setting your table, getting food from the kitchen and clearing your table.<\/p>\n<p>All food will be prepared by a catering company and will be healthy and delicious.<\/p>\n<h4>Washrooms<\/h4>\n<p>Each cabin shares a washroom with another cabin.\u00a0The washrooms contain two sinks, two flush toilets, a shower and a place for each participant to hang a towel and store their toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, etc.<\/p>\n<h4>Staff Support<\/h4>\n<p>Each cabin group has three counsellors who are there to support you and your cabin mates. This includes no stealing, vandalism or graffiti.<\/li>\n<li>Help keep my cabin clean and put all litter in the trash cans.<\/li>\n<li>Have good hygiene by having regular showers and brushing my teeth.<\/li>\n<li>Stay with my counselors, unless I have special permission not to be with them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>I will not\u2026<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Exclude others intentionally, or use friendship as a \u201cweapon\u201d (e.g. threaten to stop being friends.)<\/li>\n<li>Repeatedly ask questions or make comments about people\u2019s identities once they let me know they don\u2019t like it.<\/li>\n<li>Bully, or put down other campers or staff.<\/li>\n<li>Have romantic relationships with other campers.<\/li>\n<li>Deliberately hurt anybody\u2019s feelings.<\/li>\n<li>Bring alcohol or illegal substances to camp.<\/li>\n<li>Swear excessively or use abusive language.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I recognize that these standards of respect toward Towhee campers and staff still apply after I leave camp.\u00a0 This includes all forms of contact and communication (e.g. face-to-face, phone, letters, email, internet communication of all types including Facebook and social networking sites.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Camp staff will help me to follow these rules if I am having trouble.\u00a0 I understand that if I am having trouble following this code of conduct, the following could happen:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I may have a meeting with my cabin counsellor, counsellor supervisor or one of the camp directors.<\/li>\n<li>A staff member might call my parents to discuss my behaviour.<\/li>\n<li>I may be asked to carry out a consequence decided by my staff.
