Camp Towhee: Assist-A-Camper

Changing lives with essential supplies

CDI’s Camp Towhee supports +150 children and youth with learning disabilities and mental health challenges every summer.

About Camp Towhee

For the past 50+ years, Camp Towhee has filled a critical gap by offering a life-changing camp experience for children and youth with learning disabilities and mental health challenges. We welcome approximately 150 campers each summer to this overnight camp.

Located in Haliburton, Towhee provides campers with an immersive experience where they can learn to express themselves, regulate their emotions, and experience success through adventure-based learning programs including sporting activities, music, art, a high ropes course and a climbing wall. In addition to a lifetime of wonderful memories, the learnings and friendship developed ensure a brighter future for all these campers.

Assist-A-Camper this summer

Prior to each camp, CDI needs to renew and upgrade its camp supplies — from first aid kits to life jackets, arts & crafts materials to other outdoor equipment.

Our goal is to raise $5,000. A corporate partner is also expected to match dollar for dollar with in-kind support. Any amount, big or small, will make a difference. With your support, we can ensure a brighter tomorrow for these children and youth.
