While the end of the year can be filled with celebration and joy for many of us, the families in our community—and in our care—are coping with extraordinary difficulties that can become even more challenging during the holiday season.
CDI’s many therapeutic programs and services offer excellent support to Toronto’s children and youth who may be struggling with anxiety or depression, trying to manage extreme behaviours they don’t understand, dealing with learning disabilities that can create great distress in every part of their lives or experiencing violence at home.
Here are some of the ways you can help:
$50 buys groceries for one Taste of Home after-school cooking class, part of our Family Violence Programs for children and youth living in women’s shelters
$150 provides an opportunity for a girl and her mother to attend a SNAP® Girls Growing Up Healthy group program
$250 helps support family counselling services in all our programs
$500 helps provide bursary support for a child or youth attend our Integra Mindfulness Martial Arts or Integra Young Warriors programs for 20 weeks
$1,000 helps send a child to Camp Wimodausis, an important element of CDI's SNAP Program, for one month
$2,200 provides a full bursary for a child with learning disabilities and mental health issues (LDMH) to attend the Towhee Summer Residential program for two weeks
$4,000 delivers a year of SNAP® programs for an at-risk boy or girl with serious Disruptive Behaviour Problems
We can’t do it alone. Please make a contribution today, and help transform the life of a child.
