Welcome to Towhee

A sense of adventure and belonging awaits
Towhee is an innovative, therapeutic overnight summer program for children and youth with learning disabilities and mental health issues (LDMH). Through adventure and arts-based programming, we support the social, physical and emotional development of participants, helping them build confidence, self-esteem and positive coping skills.
Summer 2025 Applications
Camp Towhee Summer 2025 Applications are currently being reviewed and registrations will begin in late March/early April. Given the volume of returning campers and campers on the wait list, we anticipate all spots being filled this summer by existing applicants. If you are interested in LDMH services/Camp Towhee for your child and/or want to make a referral, please contact CDI’s intake team at 416-603-1827 ext. 2271 to confirm your child/youth’s eligibility and be added to our wait list.
Note: Camp Towhee has specific eligibility criteria. All children and youth must have a diagnosed learning disability, demonstrated by a psychological assessment, and be deemed a good fit for the Towhee program. All potential participants will meet in person with a director or designate and participate in a group meeting with other potential participants to determine if Towhee is the right fit.
“What was achieved in those two weeks at Camp Towhee is more than any other clubs, lessons or therapies have been able to do for my child.” – Towhee Parent
