Thank you to CIBC Foundation

Child Development Institute (CDI) is proud to announce that we have received a generous grant from CIBC Foundation in support of our SNAP® for Schools Indigenous-Focused Scaling Initiative.

SNAP for Schools is an early-intervention program, equipping teachers with evidence-based tools to build self-regulation and problem-solving skills among elementary aged students. With guidance from Indigenous partners, CDI works with each community to adapt the program to reflect local cultures, contexts, needs, and values.

CIBC Foundation’s contribution will help CDI grow and strengthen our partnerships with Indigenous community leaders, Elders, and educators to support the mental health and emotional well-being of thousands of Indigenous children each year through the SNAP for Schools program — prioritizing a culturally safe, trauma-informed approach grounded in community.

Thank you to CIBC Foundation for championing inclusive communities and standing with CDI and our Indigenous partners in advancing Truth and Reconciliation.

“This partnership will not only help us reach more children but ensures that CDI’s work continues to be guided by Indigenous voices, knowledge, and leadership. We are incredibly grateful for CIBC Foundation’s support as we create safer, more inclusive mental health programming that reflects and respects the communities we serve.”
