We are excited to announce that Child Development Institute (CDI) has received a generous grant from the Aubrey & Marla Dan Foundation to support the SNAP® Adaptation with Black Communities project in 2025-26.
This initiative focuses on customizing the SNAP (Stop Now And Plan) program to meet the needs of Black children and youth struggling with emotional regulation, self-control, and disruptive behaviour challenges.
Developed in collaboration with partner Black-serving agencies in Toronto and Ottawa, this project integrates culturally relevant materials to enhance the program’s engagement and effectiveness, ensuring that SNAP meets the unique needs of Black communities.
