SmartSimple and CDI’s SNAP (Stop Now And Plan) program have a few things in common. Both were home-grown in Toronto, designed to streamline complex processes, and have been adopted by organizations around the world. In SmartSimple’s case – technology that connects organizations with their communities; in SNAP’s case – an evidence-based intervention model designed to positively change the lives of high-risk children in their middle years, and their families.
When CDI launched the SNAP National Expansion Campaign in 2014, SmartSimple and SNAP joined forces to address one of the Campaign’s key challenges: designing a portal to be used by 140 SNAP Affiliate organizations across Canada to track and aggregate process and outcome data, create efficiencies in service delivery processes and facilitate communities of practice from coast to coast.
SmartSimple is a firm believer in the power of technology to do good. The SNAP National Expansion Campaign was a perfect opportunity for SmartSimple to apply their expertise and effect significant social change. After months of hard work, CDI’s SNAP team was delighted with the resulting implementation tool – SNAPiT. Through SmartSimple’s unique Universal Tracking Application (UTA), SNAPiT will ensure that pertinent data is shared with global researchers while confidential information is kept completely private.
Thanks to SmartSimple’s vision and expertise, SNAPiT is an integral component of the SNAP National Expansion Campaign – the goal of which is to improve the lives of 20,000 children and families over the next few years by implementing SNAP in 140 communities nationwide. Mike Reid, SmartSimple’s COO, and his team are proud champions of the project:
“SNAP had a clear plan to do good work, and we knew we could support that plan in a tangible way. Our technology was the only platform that could really help the SNAP team achieve their goals and we wanted to do everything we could to help support their mission and goals.
The global reach of this innovative program makes it unique. Sharing information on children’s mental health and their families’ well being through communities of practice can only be beneficial to child development research. Finding state-of-the-art solutions for dealing with children’s behavioural issues can only benefit future generations and make life better for children everywhere.”
Through technological and social innovation, this important partnership has resulted in a major milestone for the SNAP National Expansion Campaign. CDI thanks the entire team at SmartSimple for their professionalism, dedication and investment in this project – we couldn’t have done it without you!
“SNAP has an incredible pedigree and we will do whatever we can to help them collect, analyze and report on the data that will assist the future of child development research. We are proud to sponsor their initiatives.”
